04 | Franz Rosenbach was deported to Buchenwald before the Auschwitz-Birkenau ‘gypsy camp’ was ‘liquidated’. He was sent from there to Mittelbau-Dora, where he was forced to do hard labour in underground galleries for the German armaments industry. His mother Cäcilie fell victim to the genocide.
