07.2 | Since August 2001, another exhibition organised by the Centre at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum has documented the systematic extermination of the Sinti and Roma throughout Nazi-occupied Europe. The exhibition inside prisoner block 13 of the former ‘main camp’ was opened by Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Władysław Bartoszewski, who was himself imprisoned at Auschwitz as a young man.
